Negotiation model offers win/win solutions for families
15th Sep 2006
"The response to Su Lloyd's presentation at the Centre for Ethics was extremely positive. Su drew on her experience as a lawyer, teacher and mediator. She proposed a model of negotiation that moved beyond confrontation and dead ends to one in which those involved considered the needs of others and worked towards a "win win" result. This seemed to resonate powerfully for the parents as they reflected on their experiences of family life. Su sees that we all need to expand our vision and see a bigger picture so that there is room for all to have their rights and responsibilities respected and to feel included. She offers hope."
